The U18 Black  Cup action....For the 1st 20 mins Weds huffed and puffed throwing everything but the sink at the Blades but the girls remained composed and solid. The opener came from a 25yrd free kick that left the weds keeper with no chance. The girls continued to make their quality count and could have been 4 or 5 up at the break if it had not been for the tenacity of the weds crossbar.. Six minutes into the second half came the next from increased pressure from a well worked corner. The Blades third came with a great move through the centre that left weds as spectators. Wednesday got what came to be a consolation goal from a debatable offside position beating the Blades keeper who had little to do up to that point. The killer goal came from an excellent move that swept through the field involving most of the Blades finishing with a pinpoint cross and volley to finish...4-1 and a well deserved win. Onward to the semi-finals....
